Which insurers provide the offered insurance coverage or have contractual relationships with us?

We have entered into, or aim to enter into, remuneration agreements with the following companies. These agreements cover all insurance lines offered by the respective insurers, for which we receive the market-standard commissions. There are no financial or personnel-related ties between Akademis GmbH and the listed insurance companies.

Who is liable for negligence, errors, or incorrect information?

We are committed to ensuring our advice and information are accurate and free from errors. Should an error occur, we will promptly seek to correct the matter. If necessary, the intermediary or the insurer providing the affected insurance product may be held liable.

How is personal data processed and stored?

Akademis GmbH and the insurer may retain or exchange contractual and administrative data as necessary and may forward such data to third parties involved in contract processing, both domestically and abroad—particularly to co- and reinsurers, as well as affiliated companies. The data is used especially for risk assessment, claims handling, and statistical analysis. It is stored physically and/or electronically.

In the event of suspected financial or document-related crimes, or if the insurer withdraws from a contract due to fraudulent claims, a report may be made to a central information system. Akademis GmbH and the insurer may also request relevant information from authorities and third parties, e.g., regarding claims history or in connection with contract conclusion, administration, or claims processing.

In personal insurance and occupational or company pension contracts, treating physicians, hospitals, and other third parties may provide the insurer or its medical service with all necessary information related to the insurance application and contract processing. These individuals are explicitly released from confidentiality for this purpose—regardless of whether the insurance contract is concluded.

Policyholders and insured persons have the right to request legally prescribed information from both the insurer and Akademis GmbH regarding the processing of their personal data.
